LORETTO, Pa. (March 28, 2015) -- The Saint Francis U men's volleyball team dropped its second consecutive Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association contest to the Princeton University Tigers 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
The marathon first set was up to grabs for either squad as Saint Francis and Princeton battled back-and-forth. The first set featured 22 ties and seven lead changes, but eventually the Tigers weathered the storm and claimed a 32-30 first set win.
The Tigers cruised through the second set besting the Flash 25-16. Closing out the third set Saint Francis narrowed the gap to 21-20 before Princeton regained their composure and ended the match on a 4-2 run to win the game.
Stephen Braswell (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) led the SFU squad in kills with 10.
Adam Kniffen (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) turned in an impressive performance tallying 22 assists and three kills off four attempts.
Princeton committed 25 service errors in the match, while the Flash marked 18.
