LORETTO, Pa. (April 10, 2015) – Six different players scored as the Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team fell in its Northeast Conference home opener to Mount St. Mary's, 14-10, on Friday afternoon.

Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East) and
Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) each notched two goals for the Red Flash as they fell to 3-8 overall and 0-2 in NEC play. Erin Seipp tallied four goals to lead the Mountaineers.

The Flash struck first as Fini scored off a pass from Lawrence 45 seconds into the game. The Mount then rattled off four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead midway through the opening period.

Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) scored two straight goals with the first assisted by
Jessica Fischetti (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) and SFU was within one with 10 minutes to go in half one. MSM scored once more before half and so did the Flash as
Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) put one past Steph Rurkowski. SFU trailed 5-4 at the break.

MSM tallied three goals quickly to start half two and led 8-4 with 26 minutes to play. Lawrence scored an unassisted goal and The Mount scored one to lead 9-5. Fischetti then scored off a beautiful pass from
Anai Flanagan (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton) and SFU was once again within three.

The Mountaineers scored four goals in just over a 10 minutes span to lead 13-6 with 8:28 to play. The Red Flash again would not go away as they scored three straight.
Rebecca Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) scored off a pass from Mahon, which was followed by unassisted goals from
Sydney Shearer (Morgantown, W. Va./Morgantown) and Lawrence.

Both MSM and the Flash scored in the final three minutes, it was Fini who tallied SFU's last one at the 2:34 mark.

Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic) led the Flash in draw controls with four, while Mahon had three.
Victoria O'Brien (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown East), Fischetti, and Lawrence each had a few ground balls.
Kimberly Gronski (Corning, N.Y./Corning East High) had a team-high two caused turnovers.
Heather McKee (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright Bel Air) tallied nine saves in net.

Saint Francis has a short turnaround as they travel to Wagner for a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
