LORETTO, Pa. (April 11, 2015) -- The Saint Francis U men's volleyball team ended a seven game losing streak to the Harvard University Crimson Saturday afternoon as they handed the Crimson a 3-1 loss. Saint Francis continues to climb the EIVA standings as the Flash fight for a coveted playoff spot. SFU is 4-5 in EIVA action.
The first two sets were nip and tuck, but ended with the Flash on top and a huge 2-0 lead over Harvard. With the match on the line in the third set Harvard and Saint Francis both had chances to close out the latter, but Saint Francis faltered and left the door open for the Crimson.
Harvard edged out the Flash in the third set 28-26 forcing more volleyball in Loretto.
Harvard led the majority of the fourth set, but Saint Francis did not let the Crimson close the door. The Red Flash used precise hits to rally back and shut down Harvard. SFU handed the Crimson it's third consecutive loss.
