LORETTO, Pa. (May 27, 2015) – Saint Francis U women's cross country/track & field senior
Kylie Jackson (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The academic accolades continue to pile up for Jackson, who was also named the Northeast Conference's Scholar-Athlete for both women's cross country and women's indoor track & field. She will have the chance to go three-for-three when the women's outdoor track & field NEC Scholar-Athlete is announced in mid-June.

The Apollo, Pa. native medaled in two events at the NEC Indoor Track & Field Championship in February. She finished second in the 3,000m, just over a second behind the winner, and took third in the 5,000m to earn 14 points for the Red Flash.Â

Prior to the Indoor Championship, Jackson won the 5,000m at Bucknell's Gulden Invitational for the second straight year. During the NEC Outdoor season, Jackson advanced to the ECAC/IC4A Championships and placed 21st overall in the 10,000m.

She maintains a 3.90 grade point average majoring in Political Science. Jackson will have a chance to be named an Academic All-America selection later in June.

A student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a scale of 4.00 to be eligible for nomination to the All-District ballot. CoSIDA's District II is comprised of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
