LORETTO, Pa.- Saint Francis volleyball goes back to Ohio this weekend to take part in the Wright State Invitational at the C.J. McLin gymnasium in Dayton, Ohio.

ABOUT THE MATCHUPSÂ
Saint Francis will take on the host school Wright State and will re-match Akron over the weekend. This will be the first meeting between the host Raiders and the Red Flash. The Zips and Red Flash met last weekend, with Akron winning in three sets, SFU is winless in 12 all-time meetings with Akron.

ABOUT THE RAIDERSSaint Francis and Wright State will play twice over the weekend. The teams will match-up on Saturday at 11 a.m. and again on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Raiders come into the weekend at 5-2 on the season, but are pegged ninth in the tough Horizon League. The Raiders return five of their six players that recorded 100 or more kills last season as well as their starting defensive specialist. Maddie Lohmeier led the Horizon League last season at over five digs per set.

ABOUT THE ZIPSThe Zips and Red Flash will meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Akron swept through their invite last weekend, including a three-set win over the Red Flash. Akron used a balanced offense against SFU as three players had six kills and two more had five. Fourteen service aces from the Zips played a key role in the match.
