LORETTO, Pa – The No. 15 Saint Francis men's volleyball team rallied from down two games to none against the Pfeiffer Falcons to win, 3-2, on Saturday night at DeGol Arena. With the victory, head coach
Mike Rumbaugh earned his 200th career win. The Flash won the match, 16-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 15-11.

The Flash improves to 5-4 on the season, while the Falcons fall to 5-2.

"I liked how we could plug in different parts in different places – and each time we got better. I also liked how we raised the level in the third and fourth set. When it was tied at 9-9 in the fifth set, we were able to raise the level again," said Rumbaugh.

 When asked about his 200th win Rumbaugh said, "I just wanted to thank all my present and former players and coaches."

Jeff Hogan (Northern Cambria, Pa./Northern Cambria) paced the Flash offense with 17 kills, while
Stephen Braswell (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) tallied 16 kills and added 11 digs.
Mike Marshman (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) registered six total blocks and two service aces, while
Daniel Ford (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) had 40 assists.Â

With the momentum in the fifth set, the Flash jumped out to a 5-3 lead. Pfeiffer would comeback to the tie the score at 9-9. Kills by Ford and Hogan put the Flash ahead, 12-10. Saint Francis scored the last three points to give the Flash the fifth and deciding set, 15-11.

Both teams exchanged points early in the first set. The Falcons scored four unanswered points to lead, 14-9. The Flash would close within three at 15-12, but PU would score three of the last four points to win, 25-16. The Falcons outhit the Flash .478 to .069 in the set.

The second start out much like the first, with both teams exchanging points. The Flash used a 3-0 run to pull ahead, 12-7. Pfeiffer went on a 5-0 run to lead, 20-18. The Falcons went on to take the set, 25-22.

In the third set, the Flash started out on fire with a 7-4 lead. The Falcons would chip at the Flash lead at 9-8. The rest of the set remained tight as PU closed within one at 23-24. A Marshman kill gave the Flash the third set, 25-23.

Saint Francis would lead, 9-4, early in the fourth set. A 3-0 run would give the Flash the 13-7 advantage. An attack error by the Falcons closed out the fourth set, 25-19.

The Flash hit the road in for two EIVA matches against Sacred Heart on Feb. 12 and Harvard on Feb. 13.
