LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team lost to Bucknell, 21-12, on Saturday afternoon at DeGol Field.

The Flash falls to 1-5 on the season, while the Bison improve to 4-2.

Saint Francis was led by
Jessica Fischetti (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge)'s four goals.
Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) tallied five ground balls and finished with three goals.

The Bison quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead just nine seconds into the match. Bucknell scored three more goals to lead 4-0, before SFU its first goal at the 25:10 mark by
Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic). The Bison score two unanswered goals to take a 6-1 lead.

A goal by
Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) ended the scoring drought for the Flash. Bucknell used another 4-0 run to lead, 10-2. SFU would score four unanswered goals to cut the deficit to four at 10-6.

Bucknell would answer with three straight goals to head into the half with a 13-6 lead.

Fischetti put the Flash on the board first in the second period with 24 minutes left to play. Bucknell would extend their lead at 17-7 at the 16:48 mark. Fischetti and Lawrence each scored on free position goals to cut into the Bison lead at 17-9.

Bucknell would outscore the Flash 4-3 down the stretch to take the game, 21-12.
