LORETTO, Pa. –  The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team fell to the Robert Morris Colonials, 13-11, on Friday afternoon at DeGol Field.

The Flash drops to 4-10 on the season and 1-4 in the NEC, while the Colonials improve to 8-6 overall and 4-1 in the NEC.

Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) led the Flash with three goals, while
Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) recorded two goals, an assist and four draw controls.
Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) contributed with a goal, an assist and a season-high three caused turnovers.

Saint Francis took a 7-6 lead into the halftime break, but could not fend off a Robert Morris run in the second period.

Robert Morris quickly started things off in the opening period just nine seconds into the game, but SFU responded with three goals from
Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic), Mahon and Mazzur to put the Flash ahead, 3-1.

RMU scored four unanswered goals, two just nine seconds apart, to take a 5-3 lead with 16:16 left in the first period. Mahon and Lawrence scored to put the Flash ahead, 6-5. RMU would again tie the score at 6-6 on a free position goal.

With six second left in the first half,
Morgan Day (New Park, Pa. /Kennard Dale) found the back of the net on a free position attempt to give the Flash a 7-6 lead heading into the break.

Saint Francis struck first in the second half off goals from
Sydney Rowan (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) and Lawrence to take an 9-6 lead. The Colonials scored to cut the Flash lead to two before
Jessica Fischetti (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) scored to extend Saint Francis' lead to three at 10-7.

RUM rattled off three-straight goals to tie the score at 10-10.
Katie Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md./Hebron) scored off a feed from Rowan to put the Flash up one with 11:51 left to play.

Robert Morris scored three goals in three minutes to take a 13-11 lead. The Flash only recorded one shot over five minutes as the Colonials ran out the clock to win, 13-11.
