LORETTO, PA- Rising sophomore guard Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) appears in the latest issue of the basketball publication SLAM Magazine. 

The September 2016 issue features LeBron James on the cover. Kovatch appears in the "Picture Me Ballin' " section of the magazine that features the best of men's and women's college basketball. 

Kovatch led all NCAA freshman with 20.9 points per game and broke the Northeast Conference (NEC) record for points by a freshman (649), Rookie of the Week Awards (13) and consecutive Rookie of the Week Awards (11). The Phillisburg, New Jersey product rode those impressive stats to the NEC Newcomer of the Year Award, Second-Team All-NEC as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rookie of the Year Award. She was also featured in Feburary 29th's  Sports Illustrated in the "Faces in the Crowd" section. 

Saint Francis women's basketball is no stranger to SLAM, guard Alexa Heyward was featured in a 2014 issue of the magazine.
