LORETTO, PA- Saint Francis men's soccer takes a short trip to Pittsburgh to open the season at Duquesne on Friday night at 7p.m.

ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis was picked to finish second in the Northeast Conference in their annual pre-season poll. Saint Francis returns their top scorer, Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) who led SFU with 10 goals and 21 points en route to being named All-Rookie by the NEC. The Flash also return their entire back line led by two-time All-American Francis de Vries (Christchurch, New Zealand/Cashmere). SFU had eight clean sheets as a team last year and returning keeper Marcus Rojas (Fremont, Calif./Bellarmine College Preparatory) owned a .63 goals against average and a .848 save percentage. SFU will also look to incorporate 11 new players into the fold as they look to the freshman and returners to replace three starting midfielders lost to graduation.

ABOUT THE DUKES
The Dukes went 6-10-2 last season including a 1-0 loss to the Red Flash and were picked to finish eighth in the A-10 in their pre-season poll. The Dukes have to replace their top scorer from last year Colin Phillips who led DU with 13 goals last year.
