LORETTO, PA-  Saint Francis volleyball heads to Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson this weekend for their first road tests of the 2016 NEC season.

ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis is coming off two tough losses at home to Bryant and Central Connecticut. Kelsey Roush (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) led the Flash last weekend with 22 kills between the two matches while Breanna Opera (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster ) ripped off 10 aces including eight against CCSU. Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) led the team with a 21 dig average over the weekend. The Flash made their presence felt defensively, combining for 26 blocks last weekend. Sophia Espositio led the way with 11 block assists while Sophie Murdock (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion ) added five solo blocks. SFU will look to stop Sacred Heart's six-match win streak on Saturday afternoon while trying to snap a two-game skid against FDU on Sunday.

ABOUT THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers come into the match at 2-0 in the NEC and winners of six straight after knocking off both Brooklyn schools on the road last weekend. They are led by Sarah Krufka, the reigning NEC Player of the Year. The senior is closing in on 200 kills for the season and is hitting well over 200 on the season. As a team, SHU has been very efficient offensively, hitting .205 as a team and lead the NEC in team kills. The Pioneers are also tough defensively, leading the NEC in kills allowed per set at just over 11.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
Fairleigh Dickinson was picked eighth in the NEC pre-season poll and dropped both matches in Brooklyn last weekend. They did force their match against SFBK to five sets after dropping the first two. As a team, the Knights have struggled offensively, hitting just .133 as a team en route to a 1-17 start to the season. They have made their mark defensively, with Carly O'Sullivan ranking fourth in the NEC at over four digs per set. Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a sweep of Saint Peter's this week to pick up their fist victory of the season. Last year, the Knights won just three NEC games, two of them came against the Flash including a sweep in New Jersey.
