Seigford dropped a 6-3, 6-0 result at No. 2 against Noelly Nsimba, while Bode fell 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 against Macias. At No. 4, Miller fell 6-1, 6-1 against Hassim.
Youngstown State won the match at No. 6 by default due to No SFU Player available.
"I was very disappointed in our effort today," said Head Coach
Rob Castille. "Youngstown State is a very good and talented team and we needed to show up today and compete hard. We simply did not do that. Credit to YSU as they played a solid match from top to bottom. But we need to show up and be ready to work and grind from the very first point to the last. We needed to be mentally tough and stay positive to fight through tough times in the match. This wasn't the case today, which is why I am disappointed in us as a team today. We'll learn from this, put this behind us and hopefully be better because of this."
The Red Flash returns to action on Saturday, February 11 when it meets Carnegie Mellon at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville, Pa.
