LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's basketball team led for all 40 minutes in a dominating 81-56 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday at DeGol Arena.  The Red Flash placed four players in double-figures, led by Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes)'s 14 points.  Saint Francis improved to 5-9 overall and 2-1 in the NEC, while the Terriers dropped to 4-12 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

The Red Flash, who led by 43 with under 10 minutes, earned its largest NEC win since a 60-34 victory at Bryant on February 11, 2010.

Saint Francis was led by Nebo's 14 points, on six-of-seven shots.  The sophomore also recorded seven rebounds, five blocks and a steal.  Freshman Randall Gaskins Jr. had 13 points, making six-of-eight shots, with two assists and a steal.  Sophomore Isaiah Blackmon (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) joined them in double-figures with 12 points, to go with six rebounds, three assists and three steals, while sophomore Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) tallied 11 points, hitting three threes, with three assists and a steal.

The Red Flash shot 56 percent from the floor, hitting 32-of-57 attempts, including 8-of-19 from three for 42 percent.  SFU got off to a hot start in the first half, shooting 63 percent, with 20 makes on 32 attempts.  That was SFU's third first half over 60 percent this year and its highest first half shooting percentage since a 65 percent performance against Chatham.  SFU had 48 points in the first half, its fifth 40-plus point first half this year and its highest point total at halftime since scoring 54 in the opening 20 minutes against Chatham.

Saint Francis held the Terriers to just 27 percent from the floor and 21 percent from three.  Both totals are the lowest for an SFU opponent this year.  St. Francis Brooklyn shot just 17 percent in the first half and 13 percent from three, both the lowest percentages of any half for an SFU opponent this season.

St. Francis Brooklyn was led by freshman Rasheem Dunn's 12 points, on 5-of-12 shooting, and five rebounds.  Jahmel Bodrick and Gunnar Olafsson each had eight points.

Saint Francis led 48-16 at halftime after shooting 63 percent in the half and four-of-nine from three.  Nebo had all 14 points of his points in the first half, hitting all six shots, including three dunks.  Senior Georgios Angelou (Halkida, Greece/Lykeio Kanithou) added eight points, with a pair of threes, while Blackmon filled the stat sheet with seven points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

The Red Flash started the game on a 16-2 run, beginning with a tip-in dunk by Nebo, who had another dunk and a layup during the run.  Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) and Blackmon each had four points, with Gaskins Jr. adding two.

After Dunn scored the game's next four points for St. Francis Brooklyn, the Red Flash went on a 12-2 run to break the game open.  The stretch began with a jumper by King, who also hit a three during the run.  Angelou added a three and a jumper from the elbow.  Senior Patrick Wrencher (West Chester, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) contributed a layup.  King's three, with 11:10 remaining in the half, gave SFU a 28-8 advantage.

The Red Flash's hot start continued into the second half, as it hit four-of-five shots, for a 12-3 run, to start the half, stretching its lead to 39, 58-19, with 16:46 left.  Braxton hit a three and added a layup, while King connected on a three and Gaskins Jr. converted a layup.

A 12-2 run a few minutes later gave SFU its largest lead of the game, 73-30, with 9:49 to go.  Blackmon and Gaskins Jr. each had five points during the run, with Wrencher adding a layup.  Blackmon hit a jumper and a three, while Gaskins had a layup and converted a three-point play after making a layup, off a great bounce pass from Braxton, and hitting the free throw.  Sophomore Andre Wolford (Willowick, Ohio/Saint Ignatius) and Wrencher both made layups over the next 90 seconds to maintain SFU's 43-point lead, 77-34, with 8:18 left.

However, St. Francis Brooklyn closed the game on a 22-6 run, holding SFU without a field goal over the last eight minutes, with the Red Flash missing its next eight shot attempts.  Darelle Porter led the Terriers with seven points during the stretch, with Bodrick adding four.  Jagos Lasic and Gianni Ford each hit threes.
