LIVE VIDEO (SFBK) | LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO (LIU)

LORETTO, PA-
Saint Francis volleyball will take on the Brooklyn schools for the second time this month, hosting the Terriers and Blackbirds to start the second half of the Northeast Conference season.

The Red Flash will take on the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers at 7 p.m. on Friday and LIU Brooklyn at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

ABOUT THE RED FLASH
Saint Francis makes the turn in the Northeast Conference at 4-3 in Conference and 10-10 overall. They are coming off their longest road trip of the season where they split at CCSU and Bryant. The Red Flash handed the Bulldogs their first loss of the Northeast Conference on Saturday night and ended Bryant's 16-match home win streak, which was tied for fifth longest in the nation.

Pacing the Red Flash offense are senior outside hitters Kelsey Roush (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) and Emily Marcinowski (Strongsville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan). Roush is coming off a 23-kill, 16-dig performance at Bryant that earned her Co-Player of the Week honors in the NEC. She is fourth in the NEC in total kills with 282 and second in kills per set at 3.97. Her fellow senior Marcinowski is also in the top-10 in the conference, placing eighth with 222 total kills and seventh with 3.13 kills per set. She has recorded double digit kills in five of her last six matches. She has also made her mark defensively, topping 10 digs in each of her last five matches including a 22-dig performance at St. Francis Brooklyn.

ABOUT THE TERRIERS
The Terriers took the Red Flash to five sets when the teams met on October 6th in Brooklyn. SFBK followed up that performance with a four-set win over Robert Morris, picking up their lone NEC victory of the year. The Red Flash will have to contend with attacker Aleksandra Gligoric, who leads the NEC with over four kills per set and had 23 in the five-setter earlier this month. Ally Speweik also had 15 kills against the Flash and Taris Pittman had eight blocks, she is third in the NEC at just over a block per set. While SFU owns a 34-6 all-time lead in the series, the Terriers have won the last two matches inside DeGol Arena.

ABOUT THE BLACKBIRDS
The Blackbirds come into the weekend at 12-8 overall and 5-2 in the Northeast Conference, they will take on Robert Morris Friday night before heading back east to Loretto. The Blackbirds swept the Red Flash back on October 7th at the Steinberg Wellness Center. The Red Flash will look to shutdown Nina Petranovic, who had 20 kills in the three-set win over SFU. Like the Red Flash, LIU has two attackers in the top-10 in kills in Petranovic (9th) and Viktoria Fink (5th). Saturday will also feature a match-up of the top two defensive specialists in the NEC in Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) (SFU) and Natalia Rivera (LIU) rank 1-2 in digs per set. They are the only two with a dig per set average over five in the NEC.

Saturday will be the annual Sideline Cancer match when the Red Flash take on the Blackbirds. The team will be wearing Sideline Cancer shirts which will also be on sale on the day of the game. For more information, please visit: griffithfamilyfoundation.org/sideline-cancer.
