CINCINNATI, OH- The Red Flash erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit and closed on a 23-5 run to knock off the Cincinnati Bearcats 77-73 in a game played at Cincinnati State.

Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) had 33 points and drained five threes to lead the way.
Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) cashed in a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds which included a personal 7-0 run late in the fourth quarter.
Caitlyn Kroll (Bridgeport, Ohio/Bridgeport) added nine including the free throw that iced the game while
Courtney Zezza (Plum, Pa./Plum) added eight points, nine rebounds and a pair of blocks.

FIRST QUARTER RECAP
- The Red Flash came out firing, hitting on 53 percent of their shots in the first quarter
- Kovatch, Harrison, and Zezza each hit threes as SFU went up by as many as six at 16-10
- The Bearcats would take advantage of a couple of SFU turnovers to rally back to tie the game at 16
- A Harrison jumper gave SFU back the lead before a late buzzer-beating layup by the Bearcats made it 20-19 UC after 10 minutes

SECOND QUARTER RECAP
- The teams traded the lead early on before UC went on a 6-0 run to lead by five, their largest lead of the half
- Another three and a jumper by Kovatch cut into the lead and a Zezza free throw was followed by another Kovatch three to give them the lead 32-30
- The junior again hit on a pair of mid-range jumpers to close out the half as the teams went scoreless over the final minute of play
- SFU led 38-35 at the half

THIRD QUARTER RECAP
- The Red Flash went ice cold in the third quarter, as UC began to build a lead
- A three by Kovatch tied the game at 46 mid-way through the quarter, the Bearcats would answer with a 7-0 run
- The Bearcats would lead by as many as 11 in the quarter before free throws by Kovatch and Leah Morrow (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus Africentric) got the deficit to nine
- UC would lead 63-54 at the end of three

FOURTH QUARTER RECAP
- The Bearcats lead hit the high-water mark of 14 on a three from Ana Owens with just over seven minutes left, Owens led the Bearcats with 19
- The Red Flash responded with an 11-0 run over the next three minutes, highlighted by a pair of Kroll jumpers plus an and-one from Harrison
- After a UC lay-up pushed the lead to five, four-straight free throws from Kovatch cut the lead to one
- Another lay-up from the Bearcats made it a three-point game, before a Harrison corner three tied the game after a nice pass from Zezza
- Harrison then drew a charge on the next UC possession and gave SFU the lead for good with a power drive to the basket
- After another stop by the SFU defense, Harrison put the game out of reach on another power move, capping a personal 7-0 run
- Kroll would ice the game with a foul shot as UC's desperation threes went for naught down the stretch.

GAME NOTES
- Kovatch's 33 points are her season high and it is the first time a player crossed the 30-point mark for SFU since she did it against Sacred Heart last February
- SFU forced 18 turnovers, but turned it over 19 times, However SFU outscored UC 28-18 in points off turnovers.
- UC held a slight 42-41 edge on the glass and a slight 21-18 edge in second-chance points

The Red Flash are back in action on Thursday as they take the short trip to Pittsburgh to take on the Duquesne Dukes. Tip time from the Palumbo Center is set for 7 p.m.
