LORETTO, PA- The Saint Francis Red Flash close out the regular season as they celebrate their five seniors with home matches against Central Connecticut and Bryant.

While Saint Francis is on the outside looking in at the NEC tournament, at 6-6 in the NEC and 12-13 overall. While the Red Flash will unfortunately be ending their season with these final two matches, the program made great strides in 2017. The Red Flash enter the weekend with seven more wins than all of last season and their six current conference wins are the most since the 2014 season. At 12-13 heading into the final weekend, Saint Francis has a chance to finish above 500 for the first time since 2006 and their 12 wins are the most since 2014 with a shot at the most wins since 2012.

Statistically, the Red Flash are paced by Kelsey Roush who enters the final weekend at second in the conference at 3.8 kills per set and Emily Marcinowski who sits 7
th in the NEC at 3.2 kills per set.

Defensively, Jenna Veres became just the second player in NEC history to cross 1900 digs last weekend as she sits at 1924 for her career. She's tops in the NEC and eighth in the nation in digs per set at 5.81 entering the weekend. She already broke her own single-season record for digs as she sits at 514 heading into the weekend.

ABOUT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Blue Devils have clinched a spot in the NEC tournament next weekend and will be playing for seeding this weekend. The Blue Devils have done it with a balanced team that ranks tops in opponent hitting percentage and second in their own hit percentage.

Maddie Smith leads the NEC with a hit percentage north of 400 and leads the NEC with over two blocks per set. The Blue Devils are incredibly balanced with five players averaging at least two kills per set. Defensively, CCSU is the same way with four players recording at least two digs per set and three players are around a block per set. Central leads the all-time series 22-10 and have won the last three meetings.

The Bulldogs have also punched their ticket to the NEC tournament and will also be playing for seeding this weekend. Julia Flynn paces the offense, ranking fifth in the NEC at 3.27 kills per set. Brianna Bruny and Ally Lundsford rank fifth and sixth in the NEC in hitting percentage. The Bulldogs are a deep team that features seven players averaging at least a kill per set and four players averaging at least 2.5 digs per set. The Red Flash lead the all-time series 11-7 and handed the Bulldogs their first NEC loss this season in a five-set thriller in Smithfield earlier this season.
