Mount St. Mary's won the match at No. 6 by default due to no SFU player available.
"We looked like a different team out there in singles," said Castille. "I was happy with the energy and hunger we showed. We competed well from the first point to the last. We will look to play with the same freedom as we did in singles next weekend in our third conference match of the season."
The Red Flash travels to Sacred Heart next Friday, March 24, for another NEC contest. The match will begin at 1:30 p.m. The Pioneers are 3-5 overall and 1-0 in NEC play.
