LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Softball team continues Northeast Conference play this weekend as it hosts Robert Morris on Friday and travels to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.  The Red Flash welcomes the Colonials to Red Flash Softball Field for a Noon doubleheader on NEC Front Row, with Dan Griffin and Tyler Hastedt on the call.  On Saturday, SFU visits the Mount for a 1:30 p.m. twinbill.

The Red Flash, led by Head Coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift, is 31-9 overall, including 4-0 in the NEC.  Saint Francis swept its doubleheaders against LIU Brooklyn and Bucknell earlier this week.  SFU earned 9-1 and 2-1 wins over the Blackbirds and 3-2 and 7-2 victories over the Bison.

Robert Morris, coached by Craig Coleman, is 12-23 overall, including 5-1 in the NEC.  The Colonials split a doubleheader against LIU Brooklyn last week, winning 3-1 in the first game, but falling 8-2 in the second game.  RMU swept Bryant and Central Connecticut State earlier in conference play.

Mount St. Mary's, led by Anna Nagro, is 13-20 overall and 3-1 in league play.  Last weekend, the Mountaineers swept Fairleigh Dickinson, with 12-7 and 7-0 victories.  Mount defeated Georgetown, 6-2, on Wednesday.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Flash trails the all-time series, 56-26-1, against Robert Morris.  The teams split four games last season, including two regular season and two NEC Tournament contests.

However, Saint Francis leads the all-time series, 52-23, against Mount St. Mary's.  The Red Flash has won nine straight games in the series, including all four matchups last season.

RED HOT FLASH
With its doubleheader sweeps over LIU Brooklyn (9-1 and 2-1) and Bucknell (3-2 and 7-2), the Red Flash has won 19 of its last 20 games, with its last two losses coming in extra innings against Tulsa (3-1 in eight innings on March 3) and Pitt (8-3 in nine innings on April 5).

SFU's loss against Pitt snapped a program-record 15-game win streak, but SFU has quickly put together a new four-game win streak, its third streak of four or more wins this season.

With 31 wins this year, SFU is just three shy of the school-record set last season.

ALL-TIME WINS LEADER
Senior Ketarah DeVries (Forreston, Ill./Forreston) picked up the win in Game Two of SFU's doubleheader sweep at Bucknell on Tuesday.  It was DeVries' eighth win this sesaon and the 46th of her career.  She is now the all-time wins leader at Saint Francis after breaking a tie with Laura Caldwell (2006-09) for first.  DeVries is fourth all-time in strikeouts (399) and third in appearances (119).

STEALING BASES
As a team, the Red Flash stole four bases on Tuesday, raising its season total to 73.  That is tied for the program record, set in 2014.  SFU is just 12 stolen bases shy of the NEC record, set by UMBC in 1999 and 2000.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Saint Francis is ranked 51st in the latest RPI poll.  The Red Flash's ranking is a result of nine wins against RPI Top 100 teams, including wins over Fordham and Tulsa, who rank in the RPI Top 50.  The rest of the NEC has combined for three RPI Top 100 wins this year, with LIU Brooklyn owning all three.  SFU has played 17 games against RPI Top 100 opponents.  SFU is one of 20 teams with 31 or more wins.

SENECA'S RIDICULOUS STATS
Junior Jordan Seneca (Plum, Pa./Plum)'s monster season is big reason for the Red Flash's success this season.  Seneca ranks fifth in the nation in RBI (50) and her 46 runs are tied for fourth in the nation.  Accounting for 96 runs, Seneca has produced more runs this year than 28 Division I teams.  Seneca has hit 16 home runs, good for second in the nation, and more than 108 Division I teams.

Seneca became just the 11th player in NCAA history to hit two grand slams in a game in a 12-10 win over Texas Tech on March 17, leading to being named National Player of the Week by FastPitchNews.
