"We played a very good Duquesne team today," said Head Coach Rob Castille. "Our girls fought hard, but Duquesne was just too good today."

At the top doubles spot, freshman Laura Gutierrez (Bogota, Colombia/Cibercolegio UCN) and sophomore Stephanie Miller (Washington, D.C./St. John's College High School) took on Duquesne's Julianne Herman and Kylie Isaacs.  The Red Flash duo fell 6-2.

"In doubles, we had some chances but just couldn't convert those opportunities," said Castille. "In singles, we competed well, but it just wasn't our day. We'll keep working this week and be ready for two tough matches next weekend."

Seigford faced Duquesne's Isaacs at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-0, 6-0.  Gutierrez met the Dukes' Herman at No. 2 but suffered a 6-2, 6-2 setback.
