BOX SCORE Lewisburg, Pa. - The Saint Francis men's soccer team (1-1) registered 17 shots but couldn't find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss to Bucknell on Sunday evening.

"Tonight is a tough pill to swallow but credit to Bucknell, especially its keeper, as he won them the game today with some fantastic saves," said head coach
Antony Moore. "We will draw from the positives tonight and correct a few things before we head to Virginia next week for two more tough road matches.
Turning Point
The Red Flash outshot Bucknell 9-2 in the first half but it was Bucknell who drew first blood with a goal in the 64th minute. Sophomore
Kyle Moerschbacher (State College, PA/State College) had Saint Francis's best chance to tie the match in the 82nd minute but was hard-pressed for luck as his shot hit the inside of the post.
Highlights
- Saint Francis senior goalkeeper Marcus Rojas (Fremont, Calif./Bellarmine College Preparatory) made his best save of the match in the first half, diving to keep out a Matt Thorsheim free kick.
- Freshman Christian Kirchhoff (Aarhaus, Denmark/) nearly put the Red Flash in front early in the second half but his opportunity at the back post was spurned aside by Bucknell keeper Ryan Ott.
- The Bison scored the lone goal of the match in the 64th minute courtesy of Nick King. Thorsheim set up the goal with the assist.
- Moerschbacher beat Ott in the 82nd minute but his shot hit the post.
- Ott made one final save in the 86th minute, sprawling to keep out a Moerschbacher header.
