Super Mario
Junior forward
Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) earned NEC Player of the Week and was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week after recording his third career hat trick in Sunday's win over CSU Bakersfield. He is tied for second in the nation in goals with six.
Explosive Offense
Saint Francis enters the Johann Memorial Classic with 14 goals, which is T-7th nationally. To put things into perspective, the Red Flash only scored 15 goals all season in 2012. It took the 2016 team 10 games to reach the 14 goal mark, which this team has accomplished in just six games. The 14 goals are also two more than the combined total of the bottom four teams in the conference in goals scored.
Traveling Across Country
The Red Flash will embark on a 2,270 mile journey from Loretto to Las Vegas. The last time the program made a trip across country was in 2007 when it played games at the University of Denver and Air Force.
