Kaelon Fox (Louisville, KY/St. Xavier (Kentucky)) scored their first career goals at Saint Francis but the Rams (1-2) scored the tying and go-ahead goals 54 second apart to come from behind and earn a 3-2 victory over the Red Flash (2-2) on Sunday night.

"It's always hard to play on the road but when we have the lead with 20 minutes to play we have to do a better job of managing the game. We had some chances to finish the game off but we couldn't take them. We have to move on and work on a few things before next week."
Highlights
- Lucas Canineu (Corbin, Ky/Corbin)Â opened the scoring in the 17th minute, cutting inside his defender and ripping a shot inside the far post.
- The Rams answered in the 22nd minute as Zeron Sewell headed home a cross from six yards out.
- Junior Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) had an opportunity to send the Red Flash into halftime with a 2-1 lead but his shot was cleared off the line by a VCU defender.
- Senior Troye Kiernan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) had two grade-A chances in a span of two minutes in the second half but both shots were saved by the Rams goalkeeper.
- Freshman Christian KIrchhoff's individual dribbling display in the 62nd minute led to the Red Flash second goal. He dribbled a defender in the box then hit a shot that hit the outstretched arm of a VCU defender. Fox, a captain in his first season with the Red Flash, walked up to the spot and ripped his penalty low and into the corner.
- VCU was awarded a penalty itself in the 71st minute after the ref ruled a tackle tripped a runner in the box. Rafael Santos sent senior goalkeeper the wrong way to tie the game.
- VCU took its first lead 54 seconds later. After a tackle near midfield went uncalled, Luc Fatton was sent in on goal. The linesman's flag remained down and he beat Rojas on the one-on-one.
- Fox nearly tied the game on two separate occasions in the 87th minute. His first opportunity occured when he skied high for a corner and sent a strong header on target but ut was parried off the line by the VCU keeper. He had another chance moments later when he was spotted with a KIrchhoff cross. He sent a firm strike towards goal but it was at the keeper for a comfortable save.

- Shots were 12-7 in Saint Francis's favor while shots on goal were six apiece.
- Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) and Kiernan each took four attempts.
- Saint Francis has scored 11 goals in its first four games, its most over the first four games of a season since 1993.
