LORETTO, PA-
The Saint Francis women's volleyball team wraps up their road non-conference slate this weekend with a trio of games at the Courtyard Marriott-Canfield Penguin Invitational hosted by Youngstown State.

The Red Flash are set to take on host Youngstown State, Fort Wayne and rematch with the Akron Zips over the two-day invite.

ABOUT THE RED FLASH
The Red Flash are coming off a tough five-set loss to Duquesne in the team's home opener on Tuesday. Kelsey Roush (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) had a monster offensive game with 24 kills while Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) and Emily Marcinowski (Strongsville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) each had double-doubles with kills and digs. The setback dropped the Red Flash to 3-4 on the season heading into the weekend.

ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN STATE
The Penguins were picked ninth in the Horizon League to start the season, but it has been a roller coacher ride of eight matches for YSU. The Penguins started our 4-0, defeating Robert Morris in five sets and sweeping three other teams. Since then, YSU is 0-4 including a sweep at the hands of LaSalle earlier this week. The Penguins are led by junior Sarah Varcolla who leads YSU with 82 kills, an average of nearly three per set. YSU does have a very balanced offense, with four players averaging over two kills a set.

ABOUT FORT WAYNE
The Mastodons were picked to finish fourth in the Summit League and return 10 players from a team that went 13-17 overall last year and 9-7 in league play. They are off to a 3-5 start this season. All-League attacker Nicole Rightnowar leads the team with 104 kills through eight matches, averaging nearly 3.5 kills per set. Fellow attacker Katie Crowe is also averaging over three kills per set.

ABOUT THE ZIPS
The Red Flash will end the weekend with a rematch against the Akron Zips. The two teams met to close out the Navy Invite to start the season, a match that was swept by Saint Francis. Akron sits at 2-4 on the season coming off of their own invite where they defeated Tennessee Tech but lost to Loyola (MD) and LaSalle. Kayla Gwozdz leads the Zips with 92 kills this season, averaging over four kills per set.
