Loretto, Pa- The Saint Francis Men's Volleyball team defeated Queens University of Charlotte in three straight sets on Friday night at DeGol Arena. The Flash won 25-21, 30-28, and 25-14.
The Red Flash improved to 5-5 on the young season while staying perfect at home. Queens University of Charlotte fell to 1-5.

Set One
Saint Francis and Queens started the first set evenly matched before the Red Flash went on a 3-0 run to take a 12-8 lead. The Royals climbed back to cut the lead to one, as SFU would then jump back out to a 21-17 lead to force QUC to call its first timeout. After the timeout, SFU sustained that four-point lead and take the first set, 25-21.
Set Two
The Red Flash opened the second set with a 6-3 lead, but the Royals battled back to knot things up at 7. Both teams stayed within a point of each other until a Royals kill would give them match point, 24-22. SFU fought off the Royals match point to tie things up at 24. Kills by
Keith Kegerreis (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) and Braswell sparked the Red Flash and put them in position to win the set, 30-28.
Set Three-
The momentum carried over into the third set for the Red Flash, as they jumped out to a 15-7 lead before the Royals called a timeout. Out of the timeout, the Red Flash continued to apply pressure as they went on to win the set, 25-14.
Saint Francis returns to action next Friday and Saturday as they play host to Fort Wayne and Ball State. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
