SOMERSET, NJ- Saint Francis freshman outside hitter
Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch) has earned her second Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for her efforts in the SFU four-set win over Robert Morris on Friday night.

Tyus posted her second-straight double-double, going for 15 kills and 18 digs in the four-set win. The Plano, Texas native hit a match-high 267 on an impressive 45 attempts while adding a service ace. Defensively, she recorded 18 digs and added a block assist as she helped hold Robert Morris to a .124 hitting percentage. She averaged 3.75 kills per set and 4.75 digs per set. For the season her 3.37 kills per set average sits third in the Northeast Conference.

The Red Flash earned their first NEC win on Friday and will look to carry that momentum into this weekend where they face the Brooklyn schools at home. First up are the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds. First serve is set for Friday at 7.
