LORETTO, PA- Rising senior guard
Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) has garnered the attention of a second major award, as she has been named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List.
Â
Named for the first college basketball player male or female to be a four-time All-American, the Drysdale Award honors the Nation's top shooting guard.
Â
This is second major award watch list this season for Kovatch as she was named to the Lieberman Award watch list for the third-consecutive year on Monday for the Nation's Top Point Guard. This is the first time that Kovatch has been named to the Drysdale Award watch list. Only Kovatch and Chennedy Carter of Texas A and M were named to both lists. You can view the entire watch list below.
Â
The will-be senior guard is coming off an impressive junior season where she earned the Northeast Conference Player of the Year, Northeast Conference Tournament MVP and the ECAC Player of the Year. She averaged 24.4 points per game, second in the nation and scored 831 total points, second in the nation. Her 141 made three-point field goals were not only tops in the country but set a new NCAA Division-I record for threes in a season.
Â

Her 2,158 career points and 349 career made three-point field goals are tops amongst the Division-I active career list.
