Red Flash Head to Moon for Keystone Clash

LORETTO, PA- Saint Francis will look to break a two-game slide as they travel to Moon Township for a date with rival Robert Morris on Saturday at noon.

Saturday's game is game two of a four-week stretch for the Red Flash where they don't leave the state of Pennsylvania. Saint Francis hosted Duquesne last weekend and will play host to Bryant and Central Connecticut in the two weeks following Saturday.

BEAR NECESSITIES
The graduate transfer has run his streak of at least two touchdown passes to six games last week with two TD strikes to Cyrus Holder (Uniondale, N.Y./Milford Academy). Fenimore is now second in the Northeast Conference with 15 touchdown passes. His 5:1 touchdown to interception ratio is tied for the best mark in the conference.

CY OF RELIEF
One of Fenimore's favorite targets has been junior wideout Cyrus Holder (Uniondale, N.Y./Milford Academy). Holder had another big game against the Dukes last weekend, hauling in seven passes for 113 yards and two scores. Holder is third in the NEC averaging just over 86 yards receiving through seven games this season. The junior has had a knack for the big play, averaging nearly 17 yards per catch, second in the conference.

RINELLA RETURNS
Junior safety and return man Nick Rinella (Collegeville, Pa./La Salle College) has become an elite weapon in the return game. Rinella leads the Northeast Conference and is top-five in the FCS with an 18.9 punt return average. Earlier in the year, Rinella set a NEC record with 140 punt return yards in the win over West Virginia Wesleyan. He has been a force on kickoff returns as well, averaging 35 yards per return during NEC play and over 26 yards per return overall. His return ability has forced teams to punt and kick away from him, helping setup the Red Flash routinely with good field position.

HEAVY HITTERS
This season, Ben Bruni (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) and Hakeem Kinard (York, Pa./York Catholic) have been all over the field for the Red Flash defense. On the season, Bruni has averaged 8.3 tackles per game, a mark that he's upped to 11  stops a night, tops in the conference. Kinard is right behind the senior linebacker, recording just over six stops a night total and 10 tackles a game in NEC play, good for third in the league. Those two are a big reason why the Red Flash rank one or two in every defensive stat in the conference.

NO FLY ZONE
In addition to his stops, Kinard has played a vital role in pass coverage. Kinard, Jermaine Ponder (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) and Jarren Williams (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) have all averaged two passes defended in NEC play. Ponder ranks 23rd in the FCS with nine pass break ups this season while Williams and Kinard each have seven. As a result, the Red Flash have allowed just 10 TD passes through the air and 187 passing yards per game, both marks are second in the NEC.

ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS
Like the Red Flash, the Colonials come into the contest in search of their first Northeast Conference win, as they currently sit at 0-3 in the league. It will be the unstoppable force versus the immovable object on Saturday. The Colonials have scored in bunches this season, averaging over 30 points per game on the season and 35 in NEC play. The Red Flash rank in the top-two in every defensive category.

The Colonial offense has been a balanced offense, ranking third in the league in both rushing and passing offense. The Red Flash will look to stop the rushing tandem of Alijah Jackson and Teren Stephens, who have averaged close to 170 yards combined on the ground so far this season.

Through the air, Jimmy Walker has been dynamite in conference, averaging over 250 yards through the air and a 66 percent completion percentage. His favorite target has been Matt Gonzalez who has caught five touchdown passes in three NEC games and averages over 70 yards a game.

Defense has been an issue as RMU has allowed an average of 48 points on the season, 51 per game in NEC play. The Colonials have struggled against both the run and the pass, allowing 280 yards per game on the ground and 297 through the air, albeit against three of the better NEC offenses in Bryant, CCSU and Duquesne.  Adam Wollett is the leading man on the defense, as the Campbell Award semi-finalist leads the team at over eight stops per game.

SERIES HISTORY
Robert Morris leads the all-time series with Saint Francis 15-8-1 since RMU started football in 1994. However, the Red Flash have won the last six meetings including a 36-7 win in Loretto last year and a 24-10 triumph in Moon Township in 2016.
