Loretto, Pa – The Saint Francis Red Flash field hockey team fell to the Richmond Spiders 3-2 in an important A-10 conference match Friday afternoon. The loss dropped SFU to fifth in the A-10 standings and to 8-10 overall and 4-4 in conference.
How it happened
Saint Francis took an early second half lead on a goal by Brianna Govia (St. James, Trinidad/Holy Name) set up by Atina Pagani (Concepcion Del Uruguay/Instituto Santa Teresito). Richmond's Addie Nash responded with a goal of her own tying the game at two. Nash later scored her second goal of the half putting the Spiders on top 3-2.
