Red Flash Play Host to Bulldogs Saturday on #MyCause Day

LORETTO, PA- Coming off a road win at Robert Morris, the Red Flash will look to get even in Northeast Conference play when they play host to the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday with a noon kickoff set from DeGol Field.

MY CLEATS MY CAUSE
Saturday's game will be My Cause Day at DeGol Field. Players will be raising awareness for a cause that is important to them. This is similar to the NFL's My Cleats My Cause campaign. One main cause is the Saint Francis Touchdown Pledge Drive, which has a few days left. To donate, please click the link provided.

BEAR-ING DOWN
Graduate transfer Bear Fenimore (Austin, Texas/Westwood) has tossed at least two touchdown passes in seven-straight games. Fenimore has tossed 17 touchdowns against just three picks this season. His 17 TD passes rank his 16th in the FCS and one behind Bryant quarterback Price Wilson for the conference lead. Factoring in his three rushing touchdowns, Fenimore has accounted for at least two scores in every game this season. He leads the Northeast Conference and sits top-20 in the FCS, averaging over 15 points accounted for per game.

SHARING IS CARING
Fenimore has spread the ball around this season with six different receivers catching at least one touchdown pass. Of those six, five have at least two touchdown catches and over 100 yards receiving on the year. Senior wideout Kam Lewis is second in the NEC and 25th in the FCS with 667 yards on the season and has already earned an invite to the College Gridiron Showcase in January. Junior Cyrus Holder (Uniondale, N.Y./Milford Academy) leads the team with six touchdown catches and he and Lewis have formed quite the tandem, with each ranking in the top-30 of the FCS, with each averaging at or near 82 yards/game.

POCKET PROTECTORS
A big reason for Fenimore and the passing game's success is the work of the offensive line. The line has given up just eight sacks through the eight games so far this season. Their one sack per game average has the unit ranked 12th in the FCS and second in the NEC.

FORCING THE ISSUE
Junior linebacker Da'Jon Lee (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) forced his fifth fumble of the year in the win over Robert Morris, a number that leads the FCS. Lee has been a force to reckoned with all season with 15.5 tackles for loss, tied for the lead in the NEC and good for third in the FCS. Lee is tied with Bryant's Tomas Wright for the conference lead. Thanks to Lee's pressure, the Red Flash sit in the FCS top-10 in both sacks and tackles for loss.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
The Bryant Bulldogs come into the weekend at 5-3 on the season and 2-2 in the Northeast Conference. The Bulldogs have shined against the Pennsylvania contingent in the NEC so far this season, having defeated Robert Morris and Duquesne for their two conference wins. However, the Bulldogs have stumbled in their last two games against Sacred Heart and CCSU.

Bryant employs a "fast and physical" style of play, especially on offense. Last week in the loss to Sacred Heart, the Bulldogs ran 83 offensive plays, compared to 53 for Sacred Heart. Bryant has run at least 64 plays in every game so far this season including a season-high 99 in the win over Marist.

HEY MR WILSON
Redshirt senior quarterback Price Wilson has been one of the biggest beneficiaries to the up-tempo style. Wilson leads the NEC with 18 touchdown passes and is among the FCS leaders in several categories: 12th nationally in TD passes, 15th in yards, 10th in completions per game, 18th in yards per game and 28th in points responsible for.

PART OF A BALANCED ATTACK
While Wilson has been filling up the stat sheet through the air, Bryant has maintained a steady rushing attack. The Bulldogs rushed for over 250 yards in last week's loss to Sacred Heart and have rushed for over 200 yards as a team in two consecutive games. Senior Brendan Femiano led the ground game with 133 yards against the Pioneers.

BRINGING THE HEAT
The Bryant Bulldogs have excelled at getting to the kicker this year, blocking a FCS-best nine kicks this season. The Bulldogs blocked two last week against Sacred Heart, returning one for a touchdown.

Additionally, the Bulldogs get to the quarterback, ranking second to the Red Flash in teams sacks this season. Tomas Wright is second in the nation and tops in the NEC with 9.5 sacks this season.
