LORETTO, PA- Former Saint Francis defensive back
Malik Duncan (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) ('17) has signed a professional contract with the Quad City Steamwheelers of the Indoor Football League.
The Indoor Football League is one of the premier Arena Football Leagues, playing on a 50-yard playing surface, roughly the size of an ice hockey rink. This will be the first season for the Steamwheelers in the Indoor Football League. Last season, the Steamwheelers went 8-4 and made the first-round of the playoffs in the rival Champions of Indoor Football (CIF).
Duncan, was a four-year letter winner for the Red Flash and a three-year starter. He was named All-NEC in his final two seasons and was named an All-American by four different outlets during his senior season. He set the then-record for single-season pass breakups with 14 in 2016. He finished his career with 29 pass break-ups, fourth-most in school history. After graduation, Duncan spent this last season as an assistant coach with the Mercyhurst Lakers in the PSAC.
