Houston, TX- The Saint Francis men's soccer team (1-1) battled hard the whole game until a late overtime corner kick allowed the Houston Baptist Huskies (1-0-1) to earn a 1-0 victory over the Red Flash on Sunday night.
 
 Highlights

• The Red Flash earned eight first-half corner kicks. Senior Nicco Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) almost converted one of the corner kicks with a header in the first half.
• The Red Flash outshot the Huskies 6-1 in the first half as Jacob Gratzer (Olmsted Falls, OH/St. Edward's) contributed two of the three shots on goal.
• It was another strong performance by the defense as Eric Ganime (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio Icaro) and Brandon Ott (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) made a few plays to keep the Huskies off the scoreboard.
• Sophomore Christian Kirchhoff (Aarhaus, Denmark/) had a couple good looks, posting two shots on the night.

• The Red Flash compiled an 8-7 lead in shots and a 3-2 advantage in shots on goal.
• SFU also led in corner kicks, 11-7.

• Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) and Leonardo Ribeiro (Florence, Italy/Liceo Linguistico "G Pascoli") ended the weekend with a team-high four total shots.
