Women's soccer drops 3-2 decision to Sacred Heart

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's soccer (4-8-1, 3-3-0 NEC) had two goals from senior forward Alyssa McGhee (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle), but the Red Flash dropped a 3-2 decision to Sacred Heart (7-5-2, 3-1-1 NEC) on Sunday at Stokes Soccerplex.

  • After an early Pioneers goal, McGhee tied the match a 1-1 with a score off an assist from Abigail Tarosky (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) and Camryn Tirado (Deptford, N.J./Deptford) in the 21st minute
  • Following a Sacred Heart header for a goal in the 54th minute, McGhee scored just 39 seconds later off a Barnett assist to tie the match 2-2
  • Sacred Heart scored the deciding goal in the 60th minute
