Smithfield, R.I. - Sophomore Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch) recorded 11 kills and five digs and sophomore Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) added nine kills and eight digs in a 3-0 loss at Bryant on Saturday as SFU fell to 1-2 in NEC action.

Saint Francis trailed just 23-20 in the first set after a Bryant attack error before the Bulldogs closed with two points. 

Slow starts doomed Saint Francis in the next two sets as SFU fell in three.

Saint Francis hit .211 for the match but allowed the Bulldogs to swing at a clip of .427.

Redshirt freshman Alexa Mamone (Beaver, PA/Beaver Area) registered eight kills while junior Shannon Thomas (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria) finished with 25 assists and five digs.

The Red Flash have a quick turnaround, going to Robert Morris on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m.
