Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's volleyball team (3-21, 3-9 NEC) will play its final two home games of the 2019 season this weekend with matches vs. St. Francis Brooklyn on Fri., Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. and CCSU on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m.

Wies Hurkmans is an explosive leaper who ranks second in the conference in hitting pct. at .4375%. Una Stevic is another dangerous attacker on the pins, leading the Terriers with 238 kills. It's a pivotal weekend for the Blue Devils as they currently hold the fourth and final playoff spot with an 8-4 record. Junior outside hitter Emma Henderson, s Second Team All-NEC selection from 2018, leads the team with 264 kills. She forms a dangerous duo with the 2018 Player of the Year, Madelyn Kaprelyan, who has 233 kills. Gala Galabova is third in the league in blocks, averaging over one block per set, while Ashlyn Eisenga is second in the league in digs per set at 4.69. The Blue Devils have a lot of size up front and are third in the league in blocks (1.95 per set) and opponent hitting % (1.91). Esposito To Be Honored on Senior Night

Cecilia Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) will be honored as the lone senior on Saturday before the Red Flash take the floor vs. CCSU. Esposito has had a strong final season, leading Saint Francis with 53.0 total blocks. For her career, she has appeared in 74 matches, amassing 151.0 total blocks and 218 kills.

No Quit In the Red Flash

Despite its record, the Red Flash have shown no quit during the 2019 campaign. Last Saturday was just another example of the fight of the group. Facing a 2-0 deficit for the match, and an 8-2 deficit in set three, Saint Francis clawed its way back to a 25-22 win to force a fourth set. Sophomores

Tyus clinging to Kills/Per Set Race

Tyus is clinging to the league lead in kills per set, holding off LIU's Kora Schaberl by .10 with four games to play. Tyus's mark of 3.80 kills per set leads the league. She needs 41 kills over her final four contests to top her 310 kills from her freshman season when she was named NEC Second team All-Conference.
