LORETTO, PA-The Red Flash used a pair of late-inning comebacks to sweep a doubleheader from the Bucknell Bison, winning game one 8-7 and game two 9-8 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In game one, the Red Flash answered a five-run sixth inning by Bucknell with six of their own in the bottom of the inning.
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) cleared the bases with a double and came into score on a throwing error by the catcher, sister Sierra followed with an opposite-field homer to cap the comeback.

In game two, Saint Francis answered the Bison comeback with one of their own in the seventh. After Bucknell took their first lead, 7-6 in the top of the seventh,
Mikayla Bower (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) came through with a two-run, game-winning single in the bottom of the inning.

GAME ONE RECAP
Bucknell took the early lead in game one, using some small ball, a walk, a single and a pair of sacrifices to bring home the first run. The Bison added to the lead with a lead-off solo homer in the fourth. The Red Flash answered in the fifth,
MeKenzie Saban (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) hit her league-leading 20
th double of the season and advanced to third as
Tayven Rousseau (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) was thrown out at the plate.
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) drove home Saban with a sac fly and
Sierra McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) followed with a solo homer to tie the game.

The Bison took advantage of a Saint Francis error in the sixth, scoring five unearned runs to take a 7-2 lead, highlighted by a three-run home run. Undeterred, the Red Flash rallied back with a six-spot in their half of the sixth.
Jordan Frank (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Central Catholic) got things started with a lead-off single, and a walk to
Kassidy Troxell (Navarre, Ohio/Perry) and a single by
Halle Marion (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) made it 7-3. Saban followed with a single to load the bases and
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) tied the game with a bases clearing double, with McKee scoring the tying on a Bison throwing error.
Sierra McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) followed with a solo shot over the right field wall that proved to be the game winner.

GAME TWO RECAP
The long ball was the name of the game in the nightcap on Saturday. Back-to-back solo homers for Bucknell in the first staked them to an early lead.
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) responded with a towering opposite-field two-run blast that stayed inside the left field line and tied the game in the bottom of the inning. In the second,
Allyn Bezjak (Uniontown, Pa./Albert Gallatin High School) hit her second career homer, a two-run shot to give SFU the lead,
MeKenzie Saban (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) followed with back-to-back solo homers to give Saint Francis a 6-2 lead.

Bucknell began chipping away at the lead in the third with a solo homer and scoring a second tally on a fielder's choice.
Tayven Rousseau (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) answered back in the fourth with her first collegiate homer, a solo dinger to put Saint Francis up three. The Bison continued the rally in the sixth, climbing within a run off a wild pitch and a run-scoring groundout. An inning later, they took the lead on a two-run opposite field homer.

Again, the Red Flash didn't panic and answered back. Cheynee McKee doubled to lead off the inning and was moved to third on a
Sierra McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) grounder.
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) then walked and advanced to second on a passed ball.
Mikayla Bower (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) then stepped in and drove a low fastball back through the middle to bring home McKee and a hustling Norton to walk it off for the Saturday sweep.
