Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's volleyball team will be tested once again this weekend with three matches at the Akron Invitational. Saint Francis plays host Akron on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Seton Hall (10 a.m) and Eastern Kentucky (4:30 p.m.) on Saturday.

Scouting Akron
The Red Flash will open with Akron on Friday night at 7 p.m. The Zips are 2-4 but did record a four-set win vs. Bryant, the defending NEC champions. Junior Alexis Adleta and senior Ashley Richardson lead the Zips with 53 and 52 kills respectively, while Richardson has contributed a team-high 21 blocks. Akron is 2-1 when winning at least one set in a match.

Scouting Seton Hall
The Pirates, member of the Big East, have yet to find their stride with a 1-6 record and six total set wins in 25 attempts. Haylee Gasser is Seton Hall's top offensive weapon with 57 kills while Julia Wilkins has 20 blocks.
Scouting Eastern Kentucky
Eastern Kentucky has the best record of the four-team field entering the weekend at 3-3 after sweeps of Dartmouth and North Carolina AT&T. Three Eastern Kentucky players have 50 or more kills in Abby Noll (79), Jovana Bulatovic (56) and Kaylin Johnson (50). The Colonels have shown drastic improvements in the early goings of 2019 after recording a 5-23 overall record in 2018.
Tyus the Terror
It was another All-Tournament worthy performance from sophomore
Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch), her second in as many weeks, as she led Saint Francis with 38 kills and 25 digs in three matches at last week's UMBC Retriever Invitational. She was SFU's only representative on the All-Tournament Team.
Edgington Gaining an Edge

Jeanie Edgington (Olmstead Falls, Oh/Olmstead Falls) continues to make strides during her first season with the Red Flash. Edgington earned her first career start last Saturday and rewarded head coach
Sara McMullen with two kills and a block.
McGraw Goes Off
Sophomore
Keara McGraw (Austin, TX/James Bowie) hopes Saturday was her coming out party. In SFU's four-set loss to George Mason, McGraw was credited with a career-high 13 kills, more than her entire total from her freshman season.
