Oxford, Ohio – The Saint Francis Red Flash fell to the Miami RedHawks, 5-1, on Sunday afternoon in Oxford.

After the first quarter, one that saw back and forth action, Miami led 1-0. The second quarter was also nip and tuck, neither team could find a goal and the 1-0 score carried into halftime.

In the third quarter, Miami's offense caught fire when they scored three times in less than four minutes. The Red Flash trailed 4-0 heading into the final period.

The fourth quarter saw a goal from each team. Miami scored first to bring their lead to five. With six minutes and 40 seconds remaining in the match, Saint Francis got on the board thanks to an Agustina Deharbe (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Catherine's Moorlands) goal.

Deharbe's goal was her second of the season. On defense, Claudia Marzec (Whitinsville, Mass./Moses Brown School) stopped a whopping 16 shots on goal.

Up next for Saint Francis is consecutive home matches for the first time this season. The Red Flash will open its A-10 slate on Friday at 3:00 pm against the Davidson Wildcats, then host nonconference opponent Central Michigan at noon on Sunday.
