Men's soccer hosts Rider on Saturday

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's soccer (1-3-0) returns home to face Rider (2-3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.

Scouting Rider
The Broncs are 2-2-0 on the season after recording a 2-0 win over LaSalle last Saturday. The Broncs opened their 2019 campaign with a loss to UConn before picking up a win at Fordham. Rider then dropped a road contest at Princeton. Senior forward Clement Bourret leads the team with six points on three goals. Bourret was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both goals in Rider's win over LaSalle.

Series History
Saint Francis is 2-4-0 in the all-time series history against Rider. The most recent meeting between the teams came on Sept. 28, 1996 with the Broncs picking up a 2-1 win.

Morgret among NEC's Best
SFU sophomore goalkeeper Alex Morgret (Hummelstown, Pa/Hershey) is ranked among the best in the Northeast Conference in goals against average and save percentage. The Hummelstown, Pa. native has a 1.33 gaa and 0.636 save percentage. Morgret has allowed only four goals and recorded seven saves through three matches.

SFU struggles at Bucknell
SFU surrendered three second half goals to drop a 3-0 decision to Bucknell on Wednesday at Emmitt Field. Following a quiet first half where each team had only one shot on goal, the Bison broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 65th minute. Bucknell then added a goal in the 79th minute and a penalty kick goal in the 88th minute to produce the final score.
