MEADVILLE, Pa. – Saint Francis men's soccer drops match with Allegheny Saturday afternoon, 7-2.
The Gators jumped out to an early lead and held a 6-0 advantage at halftime. The Red Wolves got on the board in the 56th minute when Daniel Rose Jr. scored his first goal of the season off an assist from
Japhy McGuinness. Saint Francis added another goal in the 76th minute, as Álvaro Planas found the back of the net for his second goal of the season. Allegheny added one more before the final horn, ending the match 7-2.
Planas led the Red Wolves with four shots, including one on goal, while Rose Jr. recorded two shots, both on goal. McGuinness added one shot and one assist.
Brian Hegerty played all 90 minutes in goal for Saint Francis.
The Red Wolves return home Wednesday to take on Grove City at 4 p.m. at Stokes Soccerplex.
