Sydney Scott (Smithburg, MD/Smithburg) added four kills but Saint Francis concluded a winless weekend with a 3-0 loss to Cornell (10-25, 21-25, 16-25 ) on Saturday morning.
After dropping the first set, the Red Flash were in prime position to even the match with a 16-14 lead in set two thanks to a kill from freshman
Jeanie Edgington (Olmstead Falls, Oh/Olmstead Falls). A kill from Scott gave SFU a 17-16 lead but it was the last lead they would hold as Cornell raced back for a 25-21 win.
Edgington tied her career-high with four blocks while freshman
Rachel Langsdorf (Norwin, Pa./Norwin) led with eight digs.Â

Kimmy Sweeney (Broadview Heights, OH/Beaumont School) earned All-Tournament honors with 31 digs in three games.
Saint Francis opens conference play next weekend when it hosts Merrimack on Saturday, Sept. 28. The conference and home opener will start at 5 p.m.
