Altoona, Pa. – The Saint Francis bowling team put on one of its best showings of the year, placing second over the weekend in its only home tournament of the season.
After finishing day two in third place, the Red Flash entered the final day trailing only nationally-ranked Youngstown State and Mt. St. Mary's for the top spots. Morgan State sat just below SFU for the fourth qualifying spot.
The Red Flash began day three with a 4-3 win over Morgan State. In the next round, SFU took Youngstown State head on, defeating them 4-2.
SFU reached the championship to take on Mt. St. Mary's. The teams exchanged wins for each of the first six games, eventually reaching 3-3. Mt. St. Mary's was able to overcome the Red Flash momentum and take game seven for the tourney win.

Liz Brock (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) also placed 12th individually with a day total of 907.
Up next for the Red Flash is a trip to Arlington, Texas this weekend for the Prairie View A&M Invite.
