Loretto, Pa – The Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team (1-3) rebounded from an 8-1 deficit by closing the first half on a 4-1 run to end the first half, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Dukes in a score of 13-20. Saint Francis junior midfielder stole the show with a career-high eight goals and nine draw controls. Her eight tallies were second most in single-game program history behind Danielle Conwell's none.
First Half
Saint Francis held the Dukes to three goals over the first 10 minutes before Scott struck for her first tally of the day to make it 3-1. Five unanswered goals from the Dukes stretched the deficit to 8-1, but SFU played the Dukes even the rest of the match. Scott scored five more times over the first half, netting all six goals as SFU trailed 11-6 at the half.
Second Half
The Dukes struck first in the second half, but redshirt senior
Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) responded three minutes later with her first of the day bring the gap to five at 12-7. Sophomore
Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) anchored the attack with a career-high four assists and freshman
Elizabeth Fisher (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) tallied her first career goal. Senior
Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) and junior
Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy), and also found the back of the net.

- Red Flash goalkeepers logged 17 saves to the Dukes 8. Sophomore Elyssa Enrique (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) made eight stops and her replacement, Lindsey Kilian (Woolwich, N.J./Kingsway Regional) saved nine.
- The Dukes out shot the Red Flash 37-21
Notes
- Scott's eight goals were the most by an SFU player since Conwell's nine at Binghamton in 2012.
- Senior Peyton LeConte (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) led SFU with six ground balls, while junior Katie Page (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) finished with four ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- SFU was 15-23 on clears to Duquesne's 19-24.
- Both teams scored one man-up goal.
