Water Polo takes on Bison Invite

Lewisburg, PA. – The Red Flash Water Polo team will make a quick trip to Lewisburg, PA where Bucknell University will host the Bison Invite this coming Saturday and Sunday, February eighth and ninth. Here they will play two Saturday and another two Sunday. After a split weekend during last weekend's tournament going 2-2, the squad looks to this weekend for further improvement and more wins.

Competition Overview- The Red Flash will take on La Salle, George Washington, Harvard and Salem this upcoming weekend.

On Saturday at 12:45 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. SFU will take on La Salle and George Washington. Saint Francis has a winning record against La Salle tallying three wins and just one loss against the Explorers. Their only loss came last year when they met in Erie PA, and La Salle beat the Red Flash 11-10. These two teams met a combined three times last season and once in 2018.  George Washington on the other hand has notched eight wins against the flash, with SFU only coming out on top twice. These two teams met three times last season where SFU took an 11-7 win in their last matchup. The only other win for the Flash came in 2017 when they just nearly defeated the colonials 11-10.

Sunday, the Red Flash battle Harvard and Salem starting at 2:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  SFU has not yet been able to come out on top with a win against a tough Harvard squad in the total six meetings of these two teams. SFU battled Harvard twice last season where SFU took two losses, 11-19 and 6-13. They look to this weekend to notch their first win against the Crimson. The Red Flash have not lost against Salem, tallying two wins against the tigers both from last season, 12-9 and 12-10. The Flash look to make it win number three against the tigers come this Sunday.
