Softball lands Hofstra transfer Jordan Pietrzykoski

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis head softball coach Jessica O'Donnell landed her second impressive transfer of the offseason with the addition of Jordan Pietrzykoski from Hofstra.

"Jordan is one of those players that you love to have on your roster," beamed O'Donnell. "She can play anywhere on the field, and if you've followed her career at Hofstra, she is very clutch in game-time situations. I have followed Jordan since her high school days at North Penn, where she was also very successful. She has all of the tools to be very successful here and will certainly help elevate our program."

Pietrzykoski started 17 of 18 games for the Pride as a freshman and tied for the team-lead with 13 hits. Her power was on full display as six of her 13 hits went for extra bases. In addition to her .451 slugging pct., Pietrzykoski drove in a team-high 12 runs and was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts. She ended her first season of collegiate ball by hitting safely in four of the last five games.

Before committing to Hofstra, Pietrzykoski enjoyed a stellar high school career at North Penn where she was a four-year starter at second base for the Knights. She won North Penn's Most Outstanding Athlete in 2017 and was named Pennsylvania Softball Coaches' Association All-State Class 6A First Team in 2019. She also was a SOL Continental All-Conference Team selection in 2017 and 2019.

Pietrzykoski is also a phenomenal student and was named to the Dean's List, the Hofstra Athletic Director Scholars Academic Honor Roll, and the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll following the Fall 2019 semester.

She joins former Cleveland State infielder Lindsay Ward as the second transfer since the season concluded in March.  Her release can be found here.
