TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The Red Flash posted four shots in overtime before the Warriors had a shot attempt. Valentini had three shots in the extra session with shots turned away at 61:05 and 62:32 before missing wide at 64:06 for what turned out to be the final scoring chance for the Loretto program.
Riley Kromer (Lancaster, N.Y.) also had a chance in OT, but her shot was stopped at 62:24. Merrimack had an opportunity blocked before the Warriors buried the decisive score on a penalty corner.

Breneman converted a penalty shot 42 seconds later to square the match at 2.
The Red Flash had four chances after Breneman tied the match to put home the game-winner in regulation, but could not convert. Breneman had a shot at 55:16 turned away and
Dolores Zavaleta (San Juan, Argentina) had an opportunity stopped at 57:12. Valentini had a scoring threat blocked at 56:00 and missed wide at 57:50.
FLASH NUGGETS
Valentini, who had two assists in the 5-0 win against Bryant on Friday, notched her team-leading sixth goal of the season. The freshman leads the team with six goals and three assists for 15 points. Valentini, who scored in four-straight games earlier this season, posted her first tally since finding the back of the cage twice against Ohio University on September 19.
Breneman ranks second on the squad with five goals for 10 points. The sophomore has posted all five of her goals in her last nine matches.
Kenny notched her second assist of the season. She registered her first collegiate assist in the match against Wagner on October 1.
The contest was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
