FLASH NUGGETS
Ortiz now ranks second on the team with four goals and three assists for 11 points. She has posted four goals and two assists in three Red Flash wins on Friday after notching her first collegiate points against Lock Haven (1 goal, 1 assist) and a career-best two goals and a helper in a 5-0 win against Bryant last week. Her lone non-Friday point was an assist against Longwood on a Saturday.
Valentini notched her team-leading fourth assist, and leads the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points.
Zavaleta notched her second collegiate assist and her first since a helper against Lock Haven.
The win against Sacred Heart is the team's first home NEC win since a 2-0 decision against Robert Morris on October 28, 2012. The Red Flash were part of the Atlantic-10 for field hockey from 2013-2020.
The headline is a reference to Rebecca Black's song "Friday," released in 2011.
