TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The first turning point in the game came in the 54th minute when
Jeff Thielman (Bad Homburg, Germany) forced a Mount Saint Mary's turnover and found Heron open in the box. Heron then put the ball through the goalkeeper's legs to put the Flash up 1-0, a score that would stand until the end of the game.
The second turning point came in the 82nd minute when Mount Saint Mary's had a free kick from their side of the pitch. Sending it into the box and having a good chance to score, the whistle was blown for an injured
Tobi Joseph (Darenstown, Md.).
FLASH MOMENTS
After recording zero saves in the first half, Dieseler had to record two crucial ones in the second. Both of the saves came in the final seven minutes in the game and helped the Red Flash end the game with needing an overtime.
