Thielman notches 3rd goal of the season, Flash fall 3-1 in Brooklyn

» Red Flash junior Jeff Thielman (Bad Homburg, Germany) scored the lone goal against the Terriers of Saint Francis Brooklyn in a 3-1 loss on Sunday.
» The Red Flash put a total of 6 shots on goal and were able to score one goal. Alexios Rodriguez (Silver Spring, Md.) and Tobi Joseph (Darenstown, Md.) led the teams with shots on goal.
» The Red Flash goalkeeper Jonas Dieseler (Duesseldorf, Germany) recorded 4 saves on the afternoon, bringing his total to 43 on the year.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The turning point of the game came in the first half. Shortly after the Flash tied the game in the 9th minute of play, the Terriers took back control in the 12th minute. El Mahdi Youssoufi put one past Dieseler that would prove to be the deciding goal of the match as the Terriers held the Flash silent.

In the 9th minute of play, Thielman was able to knot the game up by scoring his 3rd goal of the season.
In the 56th minute of play Dieseler was able to record 3 consecutive saves to keep the Flash deficit at 1.

With the Terriers' victory, it moves the overall record against each other to 10-8 in favor of the Red Flash. However, the Terriers have won the recent contests. Dating back to 2014, the Red Flash are only 3-6 against Saint Francis Brooklyn.
