Saint Francis Field Hockey Drops Match At Fairfield

» Saint Francis University dropped a 5-1 contest to Fairfield University in Northeast Conference field hockey action on Friday.
» Riley Kromer (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored off an Ella Maillie (Reading, Pa.) feeder in the third quarter.
» Chloe South (Lusby, Md.) made seven saves for the Red Flash.
» The loss snaps Saint Francis two-game winning streak.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The Stags scored the first three goals of the game in the first 18 minutes of the game.

FLASH MOMENTS
Kromer scored off a penalty corner off a pass from Maillie at the 40:28 mark. 

FLASH NUGGETS
Kromer, who notched her first collegiate goal against Georgetown on Sunday, has scored in consecutive games. She is the fifth player on the team to register at least two goals on the year.

Maillie notched her fourth assist of the season to post the second-most assists on the team this season. The sophomore had an assist against Lock Haven on September 10 and a career-best two helpers against Ohio on September 19.

South turned away at least seven saves for the fifth time this season.

UP NEXT
Saint Francis travels to Rider on Sunday for a 12 p.m. start time. The game has playoff implications with the Red Flash, the Broncs and Sacred Heart each tied for the No. 4 spot in the conference standings. The Loretto program wraps up its home schedule against Long Island on October 29 at 1 p.m.
