Women’s Soccer Announces Eight Players in 2022 Signing Class

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's soccer acting head coach Riley Butler welcomes a talented group of eight new members. The eight student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent during the November signing period and are slated to join the Red Flash next summer in preparation for the 2022-23 season.
 
Red Flash Women's Soccer Acting Head Coach Riley Butler had this to say about the incoming class, "I am looking forward to this 2022 recruiting class. Each incoming player brings a different skill set that can impact our team right away. Just like all incoming college athletes, it is about how quickly they can adapt and adjust to the pace and physicality of the college game. I am looking forward to having them join the Red Flash Family."
 
 
Raine Korpics
Korpics is a 5-3 midfielder from Walnutport, PA., where she plays for Northampton Area High School and club team FC Delco. She has amassed 45 goals and 14 assists in her career. She scored 22 goals and had 4 assists in her 2021-22 senior season, where she was a Top 5 EPC Scorer and earned All-Conference First Team honors. As a sophomore and junior, Korpics was 1st team All-County and District Quarter Finals MVP. She was a two-time leading scorer on her Northampton High School team as well as a two-time team captain.
 
She is a member of National Honor Society and has earned high honor roll for her academic excellence throughout her high school career. Korpics intends to major in exercise physiology at Saint Francis.
 
Casey Breier
Breier is a 5-6 forward from McMurray, PA., where she plays for Peters Township High School and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. She has accumulated 24 goals and 35 assists in her four years at Peters Township. Peters Township was a 3x WPIAL finalist and PIAA State Semifinalist, as well as compiling a 57-13-10 record during Breier's tenure.
 
The Pennsylvania native is part of the National Honors Society and has sustained High Honor Roll throughout high school. Breier intends to major in Marketing upon her arrival to Saint Francis.
 
Aixa Helbringer-Escobar
Helbringer-Escobar is a 5-3 defender from Santiago, Chile., where she plays for Colo-Colo as part of the Chilean Professional League. She was part of the U15 first place team of 2018 and 2019 with Colo-Colo. Helbringer-Escobar has played against some of the best competition that Chile has to offer at a young age. She had high honor roll three out of her four years in high school and is going to major in Engineering at Saint Francis University.
 
 
Madison Pichi
Pichi is a 5-3 defender from Coraopolis, PA., where she plays for West Allegheny High School and Century Soccer Club. She helped West Allegheny reach their first playoff appearance ever in her sophomore season with a 17-4 record. She has earned All-Section Honors her sophomore and senior season in high school. 
 
In addition to playing soccer, Madison also runs track and field where her squad won section championships her freshman and sophomore year. She is an honor roll student and is also a member of the National Honor Society. Pichi is going to major in either Engineering or Accounting at Saint Francis.
 
Morgan Pichi
Pichi is a 5-6 defender from Coraopolis, PA., where she plays for West Allegheny High School and Century Soccer Club. She helped West Allegheny reach their first playoff appearance ever in her sophomore season with a 17-4 record. She has earned All-Section honors her senior season at West Allegheny while also being a 4-year letter-winner in high school.
 
In addition to playing soccer, Morgan also runs track and field where her squad won section championships her freshman and sophomore year. She is an honor roll student and is also a member of the National Honor Society. Pichi also received AP Achievement Awards her junior and senior years of high school. She intends to major in nursing at Saint Francis.
 
Ava Parody
Parody is a 5-8 midfielder from Harrisburg, PA., where she plays for Central Dauphin High School and Eagle FC Black Club. She was honored as a 2021 Mid Penn Top 10 player to watch, as well as being on the Mid Penn most underrated players to watch list. Parody also helped Central Dauphin become District 3 4A Champions as well as being a club team captain.
 
The Pennsylvania native is part of the National Honors Society and has sustained High Honor Roll throughout high school.  Parody intends to major in Business upon her arrival to Saint Francis.
 
Olivia Parody
Parody is a 5-8 midfielder from Harrisburg, PA., where she plays for Central Dauphin High School and Eagle FC Black Club. She was honored as a 2021 Mid Penn Top 10 player to watch, as well as being on the Mid Penn most underrated players to watch list. Parody also helped Central Dauphin become District 3 4A Champions as well as being a club and high school team captain.
 
She is a member of the National Honors Society and has sustained High Honor Roll throughout high school.  Parody intends to major in Business upon her arrival to Saint Francis.
 
Averey Black
Black is a 5-4 midfielder from Martinsburg, PA., where she plays for Central High School and Beadling Soccer, Elite Soccer Academy. She was the highest leading scorer on Central with 23 goals and 12 assists in 2021. She was honored on the Laurel Highlands All-Conference team for her performance in 2021. Black ranks third all time at Central High School with 40 career goals and fourth all time in assists with 29.
 
Averey is part of the National Honors Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. Black plans to double major in Social Work and Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience at Saint Francis.
 
With the combination of talent and great character, the Saint Francis women's soccer program and Red Flash fans should be excited about this group ahead of the 2022-23 season.
